I'm Jaleesa - a former politico turned tutor, tutor turned educator. If you've followed my story on social media, you know I've been an unschool mom for the last ten years. Now, we're hybrid unschoolers and roadschoolers.
I'm originally from Chicago, I received my bachelors degree in Marketing Communications from Columbia College. I'm pursuing a masters degree in Mathematics at DePaul University, and currently teach at Math Circles of Chicago. Additionally, I am a member of the George Manierre Elementary School LSC. My favorite part of learning is connecting with littles while meeting their needs and interests through fun and engaging activities.
Now, I'm showing other parents how to liberate their families and support their little ones in a thriving educational experience by making memories, building community, and providing learning opportunities everyday.
Nothing fills my spirit more than helping others, especially you - burnout parents. I see you. I hear you. You're tired. Tired of sending your littles to public schools and not having your littles' needs met. Know that it's possible to make a shift and create a lifestyle of learning that your entire family enjoys. Whether your little needs extra support or wants to learn a new passion. There's no limit on what you can learn and where. So let's go!
